OverDrive / Libby

OverDrive / Libby provides eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines. Libby Extras has streaming video channels.

• Download Libby for iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire.

• Choose the East Travis Gasteway Library District as your library

• Sign in using your Library Card number and Library PIN

Checkouts & Holds:

• Check out up to 5 items at time and place up to 3 holds

• Audiobooks and eBooks have a checkout period of 14 days

• Magazines don't count towards your 10-item checkout limit. Always available, no holds, no limits!

• You have 72 hours to check out a hold once you are notified that it's available

• Extras on Libby:

  • Find these in Libby under "Extras" for a 7-day pass. They don't count against your OverDrive checkout limits.

  • Kanopy: access thousands of movies and documentaries to stream on any device. Use your Kanopy login to access on the Kanopy app or browser

CloudLibrary

CloudLibrary provides eBooks and audiobooks and is available to eligible DVL patrons via E-Read Texas*​

• Download the CloudLibrary app to your device

• Choose the East Travis Gasteway Library District as your library

• Enter Library Card number and Library PIN

• Tap the "Search" button to see available titles

• Audiobooks and eBooks have a check-out period of 14 days

*E-Read Texas is a statewide e-book program for small-to-medium-sized public libraries in Texas. E-Read Texas provides eligible libraries with a collection of approximately 20,000 e-books and audiobooks, and access to a mobile app.

Mango

• Mango Languages helps you learn over 70 world languages, offers more than 20 ESL/ELL courses, and improves your proficiency with Mango Movies

• Sign up for an account to track your progress, or try it out as a guest

• To use the Mango Languages app, sign up for an account in your browser first

• To see if your language has Mango Movies, a film-based language-learning tool, click on Explore

Talking Book Program

The Texas Talking Book program, TBP for short, provides free library services for Texans with blindness or visual, physical, or reading disabilities. Registered TBP users may borrow books and magazines in digital audio, Braille, and large print. Registration is done through the TBP.

Texas Interlibrary Loan

Using your ETGLD library account, you will be able to check out materials from other libraries around the state of Texas! Interlibrary Loan, or ILL for short, is a great way to access materials beyond your home library. You can find anything from bestsellers to research materials from all over the state! In order to access this resource, please visit our catalog and log in to your library account before clicking the link for "Texas ILL System" under "Electronic Resources."

TexShare

TexShare is a very popular library feature that helps patrons access libraries across the state with only one library card. You can access this resource through our catalog by clicking on "TexShare Databases" under "Electronic Resources." This library card is available through the ETGLD for patrons in good standing who have been a card holding member of the ETGLD for a minimum of 3 months. You can fill out an online application for our library card here (click on Sign Up in the top right hand corner) or by stopping by one of our libraries.
